Alexander Johnston was tried at Stirling Oyer & Terminer on 25 August 1820 & received a Life sentence – To be enacted to the Contractor for 7 years. He was a Weaver, age 16, of Lanarkshire.

After the Macquarie era, on 9 April 1824 Alexander was on a list of prisoners assigned. ###

The 1822 Muster has Alexander listed as a convict who arrived on the Speke, he had been sentenced to 14 years transportation, Alexander was a Government  Servant, employed by Commissary Wemyss.

Alexander is listed in the 1823,24,25 Muster as per the 1822 Muster but was employed as a Government Servant working for Mr William Lang, Sydney
