The 1822 Muster lists an unnamed, 7 year old child of J Eyre living at Parramatta, N.S.W.

In the Muster of 1823,24,25, Alfred is listed as an 11 year old child of John Eyre living at Parramatta.

The 1828 Census of New South Wales records 13 year old Alfred John Eyre as being a Protestant and a pupil of Dr Lang, living at Church Hill, Sydney, N.S.W.
