?During the Macquarie era David Jennings married Mary Enness at St
John’s, Church of England, Parramatta, N.S.W. – V1811 1213 3A & V1811 1486 147A
He appears to be the father of:
1814 Muster: David Jennings, Rolla, off stores, Landholder.
In 1816 David recommended C Wiltshire as teacher at Toongabbie. On 16
January 1816 he was ‘of Parramatta’, on a list of persons to receive a
land grant in 1816. He was ‘of Seven Hills’ in September 1818 when he
was on a list to receive a grant of land that year.###
After the Macquarie era:
1822 Muster: David Jennings, FBS, Rolla, 7, Landholder, Parramatta with
Ann, his wife BC & 3 unnamed children aged 10, 8 & 7.
1823,24,25 Muster: David Jennings, FS, Rolla 1803, 7, Landholder,
Parramatta with Maria, his wife BC, Margaret 14, Catherine 10 & Ann
1828 Census: David Jennings, 56, FS, Catholic, Rolla 1803, Blacksmith,
living at Kent St, Sydney – no family.
