Elizabeth (Betty) Thomas was tried in the County of Devon on 22nd August 1791 & received a sentence of 14 years. She arrived in the colony in 1793 aboard the Bellona with her son Joseph, who was born at sea in 1792. By 1822, she is listed in the Musters as a Government Servant assigned to J Bayless at Windsor and in the later Musters is listed as the wife of John Baylis of Richmond.  At the age of 57, Elizabeth is listed in the 1828 N.S.W. Census as the wife of John Baylis and still living in Richmond where she died in 1832.
