Baptised: 29th April 1791 at Finstock, Oxon., England.
Arrived: 16th December 1810.
Vessel: Indian.
Status: Convict.
Married: Mary Partridge on the 20th June 1814 at St. John’s Parramatta, N.S.W.
Occupation:

Died: 22nd December 1820 – Executed at Sydney, N.S.W.
Buried:

Father: Jonathon Bowerman.
Mother: Martha Alder.
 
Profile:
During the Macquarie era the following children were born to Mary and George:-
Solomon born c1816.
George born 13th June 1818.

George Bowerman and Samuel Franklin were convicted at Oxford Assizes and found guilty of stealing sundry articles from the dwelling houses of R. Leatherman and T. Edney of Caversham and Shiplake and received sentence of death. This was reprieved to transportation for life.

On the 22nd December 1820 George was hanged for highway robbery. However, he was subsequently found to be innocent.
