Profile:
Jane was the second Australian born child of convicts James and Mary Buckley who had each, at different times previously, been convicted of larceny in the Lancaster Quarter Sessions
and sentenced to transportation for seven years. James had arrived in Parramatta per ‘Morley 2’ in November 1818 and Mary, together with four of their children, per ‘Maria 1’ in September 1818.

Jane Buckley married James Hallwell in 1837 at Parramatta.
