Before the Macquarie era John Cross was tried at New Sarum on 25 March 1785 - OR tried at Salisbury 5th March 1785 & received a sentence of 7 years***

John sent a Petition re losses sustained by residents on the South Creek, Hawkesbury on 6 January 1801. On 4 June 1804 he was on a list of registered grants & leases###
