Profile:
John Mills was assigned to George Best, and gained a Ticket of Leave. He married Mary Best in 1818.

About 6 weeks after the birth of his second son William he was tried in the Criminal Court, charged with being a member of William Geary’s bushranger gang, John with several others, were found guilty and sentenced to be executed.

He was executed by hanging on the 24 August1821.
