Buried: c1862 at St John's Wilberforce, N.S.W.
Father: Thomas Rose.
Mother: Jane Topp.

John is recorded in the N.S.W. 1828  Census as being 35 years of age, a publican, living at Wilberforce, N.S.W. with his 19 year old wife Mary and two of their children, J.T. 3 years of age and Ellen, 1 year old. He had 12 acres of cleared land of which 8 were cultivated and 10 head of cattle.
