Before the Macquarie era Michael was tried at Middlesex on 10th September 1783 & received a Life sentence.***

Between December 1796 & November 1799 Michael was on lists of grants & leases of land registered at the Col Sec’s Office. On 30 September 1802 he was appointed Superintendent of Convicts. On 31 December 1803 there was an entry re increase of salaries for Superintendents. In August 1809 he sent produce to the Hawkesbury Stores.###

On 25 April 1812 Michael was operating a ferry service across the Hawkesbury River between Wilberforce & Pitt Town; schedule of fees. He was indebted for stock issued from the Government Herds between 1 April 1810 & 24 July 1813. On 16 January 1816 Michael was on a list of persons to receive a grant of land in 1816. In August he was on a list of persons to have lands located & marked out at Seven Hills. In April & May 1822 he was on another list of persons indebted to the Crown for livestock issued from the Government Herds.###
