Died: 28th May 1814. William was murdered 3 weeks after the launching of the vessel the ‘John Palmer’.

William and Sarah had the following children during the Macquarie Era:-
Elizabeth, born 25th January 1810.
Mary Ann, born 13th July 1811.  In the 1828 Census, Mary Jenkins aged 13 is listed as being in the Orphans School, Parramatta.
Sarah, born cNovember 1814.

In 1813 William and James Jenkins gave a bill of sale for 253 pounds to D’Arcy Wentworth, Governor Macquarie’s personal physician.
