Before the Macquarie era William was tried at Middlesex GD on 17th February 1802 & received a Life sentence – CP 488***

During the Macquarie era William married Elizabeth Carter at St John’s CE, Parramatta – V1812 1386 3A & V1812 554 147A

On 8 September 1821 he was a Constable on a list of persons being victualled from H M Magazines, with his wife & 2 children###

After the Macquarie era in 1822 William was a signatory to a petition from the ordinary constables of Sydney complaining of the diminution of their rations. He was on a list of persons receiving an assigned convict on 17 October 1822. Between 27 December 1822 & 30 August 1825 he was on the pay lists of constables employed in Sydney. In 1824 William was on a list of constables doing duty for the town of Sydney and its environs requiring slop clothing. In May & June 1824 he was on a list of constables doing duty for the town of Sydney & its vicinity who were entitled to a weekly ration. On 31 December 1824 he was still a constable doing duty in Sydney & its vicinity###
